Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help bring advanced AI/ML research to life through high-fidelity demos, prototypes, and interactive experiences. This role sits at the intersection of UX design, visual storytelling, and technical communication, translating complex concepts into intuitive, engaging experiences for a broad audience.

You’ll work closely with technical research teams and cross-functional partners in branding, communications, and marketing to design interactive web and mobile demos that explain how AI systems work, why they matter, and how people can engage with them.

What you’ll do

• Design and build high-fidelity web and mobile demo prototypes, proofs of concept, and interactive user flows
• Create 3D and interactive experiences that make complex AI/ML concepts accessible and engaging
• Translate technical research into clear visual narratives and educational UX experiences
• Apply UX testing and feedback to iterate on concepts and refine experiences
• Collaborate closely with technical researchers, designers, and cross-functional partners to support launches and milestones

What we’re looking for

• 5–10 years of experience in UX/UI or product design with a strong visual and interaction design foundation
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma and high-fidelity prototyping
• Experience designing interactive demos, proofs of concept, or educational experiences
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including LLM capabilities, limitations, and user implications
• Experience translating technical or abstract ideas into intuitive user experiences
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with highly technical teams

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D or interactive web technologies
• Background in technical storytelling, data visualization, or demo-driven design
• Experience supporting AI, ML, or research-driven products

• 100% remote (U.S. time zones preferred: PST, MST, CST, or EST)
• Contract role
• Portfolio required with submission

Pay Range: $80 - $110

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
